Financial Aid

If you are planning on attending any type of school or training program after high school, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act to have access to student aid - preferably by March 2nd. 

(Meaning, if you don't want to pay for school out of pocket, complete the FAFSA or California Dream Act form)

FAFSA [Apply for Financial Aid | Federal Student Aid]

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) allows students access to federal financial aid, as well as California specific financial aid - both loans and grants.

To get access to the FAFSA, you will need to first get a FSA ID. Click on the link [Create Account | Federal Student Aid] to get your FSA ID. 

Completing the FAFSA, especially for the first time, can feel daunting. Plan on setting aside a hour of time to complete all the sections. However, it does not need to be completed all at one time. You can complete the FAFSA as best as possible the first time through, save your progress, and then come back to the form later.
