Counseling Department Goals
To develop a comprehensive program, the Mesa Verde School Counseling Department will be working on the following goals throughout the 2023-2024 school year
- Provide in-class instruction on:
- Career planning
- Social-Emotional Skills
- Course & Life Planning
- Work with students during the Flex period, both individually and in small groups.
- Develop purposeful supports for parents
- Develop relationships with Alumni
What do School Counselors Do?
Assisting with course selection, academic planning & goal setting.
Problem solving, crisis counseling, social struggles and general "life help."
Career investigation and college admissions.
Primary contact for Student Support Team (SST) and Section 504 meetings.
