Mesa Verde High School, home of the Mavericks, provides a broad range of educational opportunities for all students, with a number of classes and programs unique to our school.

Our Front Office Welcomes You to Mesa Verde HS

The school main office underwent a complete renovation. An updated and more functional environment with which to better serve our students, staff, and community.

The Counselors meet for morning coffee and breakfast snacks with parents coming to hear about the available support and resources that our school can provide to students and families.  A well attended event that continues to expand.

Mesa Verde Concert Band-Unanimous Superior Rating at Golden Empire Music Festival. Band members and the Music Program Director are pictured here at a concert where they opened for the American River College Concert Band. The Superior Rating is the first for the school since the Choir programs of the early 2000's.

They were one of a handful of competitors invited back in the evening for a Featured Performance.

The College & Career Center provides students access to resources, vetted weblinks, professional advice, and program information to make work, trade school, military careers, and college options come to life.

New Sports Stadium

Our new sports stadium for Track & Field, Soccer (Association Football), American Football, and the Physical Education classes. Additional facility upgrades include new tennis courts, rebuilt softball and baseball fields, an outdoor basketball court , and expanded parking areas.

Applications for the State Seal of Civic Engagement open through March 13

Applications for the State Seal of Civic Engagement are now open. This opportunity is available to 11th and 12th-grade students who are engaged in their coursework, show a solid understanding of U.S. and California government, have participated in one or more meaningful civic engagement projects that address a real-world issue and demonstrate a commitment to positively impact their school, community and/or society.

San Juan Unified celebrates student creativity at the Winter Art Showcase

San Juan Unified School District hosted its Winter Art Showcase at the Sacramento Fine Arts Center, celebrating the creativity and talent of students across the district. Running from Dec. 1 through Dec. 13, the exhibit featured artwork from students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade, highlighting a diverse range of artistic styles, mediums and expression.
